Description

Rich and gooey brownies with double the chocolate for an indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra fudginess, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
