Rich and gooey brownies with double the chocolate for an indulgent treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in sugar until well combined.
- Remove from heat and beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra fudginess, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
