- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (drained)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until browned.
- In a saucepan, combine pineapple chunks, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat.
- Cook for an additional 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the sauce. Serve with rice or as appetizers.
