Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (drained)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until browned.
  5. In a saucepan, combine pineapple chunks, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat.
  7. Cook for an additional 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Notes

For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the sauce. Serve with rice or as appetizers.
