Description
A quick and creamy beef stroganoff made with tender beef strips, mushrooms, and sour cream, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

- 1 pound beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream. Add the beef back to the skillet and heat through.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles and season with salt and pepper.
Notes
For a healthier version, use low-fat sour cream and whole wheat noodles.
