Description

A quick and creamy beef stroganoff made with tender beef strips, mushrooms, and sour cream, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream. Add the beef back to the skillet and heat through.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

For a healthier version, use low-fat sour cream and whole wheat noodles.
