A crunchy and flavorful taco salad featuring Doritos chips, ground beef, fresh vegetables, and a zesty dressing.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1 bag (9.75 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
- 1/2 cup Catalina dressing
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning to the beef according to package instructions. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, black olives, and diced avocado.
- Add the cooled beef mixture to the bowl and toss to combine.
- Just before serving, add the crushed Doritos and drizzle with Catalina dressing. Toss gently to mix.
- Serve immediately for the best crunch.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute the ground beef with plant-based crumbles or black beans. Store leftovers in the fridge, but note that the Doritos will soften.
