A delicious and elegant appetizer featuring sweet fig jam and creamy goat cheese wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Spread fig jam evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Crumble goat cheese over the fig jam and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves.
  4. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Slice into 1/2-inch thick rounds and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
