- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced potatoes with butter, French onion soup mix, sour cream, and milk until well combined.
- Layer the potato mixture in a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pairs well with grilled meats.
