Description

A cheesy and creamy potato bake infused with French onion flavors, perfect for a comforting side dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced potatoes with butter, French onion soup mix, sour cream, and milk until well combined.
  3. Layer the potato mixture in a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pairs well with grilled meats.
