These easy cookies feature a red velvet base with a Hershey’s Kiss on top, perfect for holidays or special occasions.

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Hershey's Kisses (about 48 pieces)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg, food coloring, and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and handle dough gently to maintain shape.
