- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: extra cheese, bacon, or sour cream
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the grease in the pot.
- Add the ground beef to the pot and cook over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the diced onion and garlic to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
- Mix in the Worcestershire sauce if using, then season with salt and pepper.
- Crumble the cooked bacon and stir it in.
- Simmer for 5-10 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Serve hot, topped with extra cheese, bacon, or sour cream if desired.
