- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 bananas, sliced
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl; press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form the crust.
- Layer the sliced bananas evenly over the crust.
- Spread the drained crushed pineapple over the bananas.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth; spread over the pineapple layer.
- Top with whipped topping, and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with maraschino cherries before serving.
Notes
This cake must be refrigerated and is best served chilled. For a healthier version, use low-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
