These cookies are a delightful twist on pecan pie, combining buttery goodness with sweet and nutty flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in pecans.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.
  8. Let cool on wire racks.
