Description

A simple and delicious recipe for stuffed bell peppers filled with ground beef, rice, and seasonings, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 6 large bell peppers, any color
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned.
  4. Drain fat and stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers and place in a baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 25-30 minutes until peppers are tender.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with black beans or lentils.
