Description

Delicious roasted dates stuffed with a mixture of feta and parmesan cheese, perfect as an appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 12 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the feta cheese and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  3. Carefully stuff each date with about 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture.
  4. Place the stuffed dates on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the dates are softened and the cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

These dates are best served warm and can be prepared ahead for parties. Pair with a light wine for an enhanced flavor.
