Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  4. Stir in the rice and beef broth, then bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and milk until smooth.
  7. Pour the cheese sauce over the beef and rice mixture, stirring to combine.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
