Description

Soft and chewy cookies stuffed with gooey caramel centers, perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 24 caramel candies, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Scoop dough into balls, place a caramel candy in the center of each, and seal.
  7. Place on baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

For extra gooeyness, use soft caramels and avoid overbaking.
