These bars combine gooey chocolate chip cookie dough with rich brownie layers for the ultimate indulgent dessert.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 box brownie mix (prepared as per package instructions)
- Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and pour over the cookie dough layer.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For extra gooeyness, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
