Gooey Cinnamon Rolls

Description

Soft and gooey cinnamon rolls with a sweet glaze that are perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs; mix well.
  3. Add flour gradually and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375Β°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before glazing.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed fresh and warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
