Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • For Dumplings: 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in beef broth, mixed vegetables, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. For the dumplings: In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk to form a dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering stew.
  7. Cover and cook for 15 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
