Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 24 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned; drain fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and Italian seasoning; add cooked beef mixture and stir.
  5. Spread 1 cup marinara sauce in a baking dish.
  6. Stuff each shell with the beef and cheese mixture and place in the dish.
  7. Top with remaining marinara sauce and additional cheese if desired.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with spinach and mushrooms. Ensure shells are cooled before stuffing to avoid tearing.
