Description

A moist and tropical cake bar featuring fresh pineapple, perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the crushed pineapple.
  5. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a tropical twist, top with shredded coconut before baking.
