- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Stir in sugar until well combined, then remove from heat.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into heart shapes.
Notes
Use a heart-shaped mold for the best results; add sprinkles for extra decoration.
