- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup sliced olives
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until a dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place the heart-shaped dough on a baking sheet.
- Spread pizza sauce on each heart, add cheese and toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, omit pepperoni and add more vegetables. Ensure the dough is rolled thinly for a crispier crust.
