Description

These heart-shaped shortbread cookies are a delightful treat infused with fresh strawberry flavor, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
  7. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Allow to cool completely, then spread strawberry jam on top.

Notes
