Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake

A light and fluffy cake layered with fresh bananas, toasted walnuts, and sweet whipped cream.

For the Crust:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
  • 3 large ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Prepare the yellow cake according to package directions in two 9-inch round pans. Let cool completely.
  2. Toss the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  3. Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream, then top with half of the banana slices and walnuts.
  4. Place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides with the remaining whipped cream. Garnish with the remaining bananas and walnuts.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
