A light and fluffy cake layered with fresh bananas, toasted walnuts, and sweet whipped cream.

For the Crust:
- 1 box yellow cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
- 3 large ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Prepare the yellow cake according to package directions in two 9-inch round pans. Let cool completely.
- Toss the banana slices with lemon juice to prevent browning. Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream, then top with half of the banana slices and walnuts.
- Place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides with the remaining whipped cream. Garnish with the remaining bananas and walnuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
