  • Yield: 12 1x

Description

A moist yellow cake soaked with peach flavors and topped with a crumbly cobbler topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (21 oz) peach pie filling
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • For the topping:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions using eggs, oil, and water; pour into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. Remove from oven and immediately poke holes all over the cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
  4. Spread the peach pie filling evenly over the warm cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened, then spread over the peach layer.
  6. For the topping: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and melted butter until crumbly; sprinkle evenly over the pudding layer.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, cool completely, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
