  • Author: Chef Lalybeth
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

A delicious high-protein pasta dish featuring creamy beef sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (lean)
  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For a lower-calorie version, use Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream.
