Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink.
  4. In a small bowl, mix honey and soy sauce; pour over the shrimp and stir to coat.
  5. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Ensure shrimp is fully cooked to avoid food safety issues.
