Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in lemon zest and juice.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For the glaze: Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled cake.
