- 9 cups Chex cereal (mixed varieties)
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a large roasting pan, mix the Chex cereal.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; stir in brown sugar and corn syrup.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Pour the mixture over the cereal and stir to coat evenly.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread on waxed paper to cool, then sprinkle with toffee bits.
