Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • For the aioli: 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 garlic clove minced, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean and prepare the calamari rings by rinsing them under cold water and patting dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix the calamari with minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated calamari. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and tender.
  4. For the aioli, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl. Mix well.
  5. Serve the cooked calamari hot with the aioli on the side.

Notes

Ensure calamari is not overcooked to avoid rubbery texture. Pairs well with a crisp white wine.
