- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dredge chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a crispier crust, use panko breadcrumbs. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165Β°F.
