  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the lemon juice, zest, and sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Pour the boiling water over the top without stirring.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
