Description

A flavorful shrimp dip served in a bread bowl, featuring Mediterranean flavors like olives, feta, and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 loaf round bread, hollowed out for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, red onion, garlic, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and the mixture is bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving with bread pieces from the loaf.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the mixture.
