Delicious mini puffs perfect for a French-inspired breakfast, lightly spiced and easy to make.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- For coating: 1/2 cup white sugar
- For coating: 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For coating: 1/3 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, beat 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup melted butter; add egg and milk.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- While warm, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Notes
These puffs are best served fresh and warm.
