Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake combining mint, chocolate, and fudge layers for a decadent dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/2 cup fudge sauce
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325Β°F (163Β°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. For the crust: In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. For the filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Stir in sour cream, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Divide the mixture in half.
  6. Mix melted chocolate into one half of the filling. Pour into the crust.
  7. Layer the fudge sauce over the chocolate filling, then add the remaining plain filling on top.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set. Cool in the oven with the door ajar.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Top with whipped cream, mint leaves, and chocolate shavings before serving.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smooth cheesecake. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
