A quick and incredibly flavorful stir fry with tender strips of beef coated in a sweet and savory sauce.

For the Crust:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4–5 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Toss the thinly sliced steak with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef in batches until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the ginger and garlic, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Stir and bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Add the cooked beef back into the pan, tossing to coat in the sauce. Stir in the green onions and cook for one more minute. Serve immediately.
