Description

These mozzarella stuffed turkey meatballs are a delicious and easy recipe featuring juicy turkey meatballs filled with gooey cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and form the meat around it to make a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the meatballs to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Serve with marinara sauce on top or on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add fresh herbs like basil or parsley to the meat mixture. Ensure the meatballs are fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165Β°F.
