No-Bake Peppermint Oreo Truffles

Description

Easy no-bake truffles made with crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and peppermint flavor, coated in chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, for coating
  • Crushed candy canes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and peppermint extract until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  5. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, coating evenly, and place back on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes immediately.
  6. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour to set before serving.

Notes

These truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. For a stronger peppermint flavor, add more extract.
