Description

A decadent breakfast casserole featuring layers of bread and Nutella, soaked in a creamy egg mixture and baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of thick bread
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter for greasing
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Spread Nutella on each slice of bread and layer them in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread layers, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  6. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  7. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use hazelnut-flavored ingredients if available. Serve warm with fresh berries or whipped cream.
