  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, salt, and cocoa powder.
  2. Stir in milk gradually.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and starts to boil.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in beaten egg yolks.
  5. Return to heat and cook for another minute.
  6. Remove from heat again, stir in butter and vanilla.
  7. Pour into baked pie crust and cool.
  8. Top with whipped cream before serving.

Notes

Ensure the filling cools completely to set properly. For a crispier crust, bake it yourself instead of using pre-baked.
