Description

A hearty and comforting casserole made with ground beef, pasta, and cheese all cooked in one pot.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a boil.
  4. Add uncooked macaroni; reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
