Description

A flavorful one-pot dish combining ground beef with ramen noodles in a Mongolian-inspired sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 packages ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Add ramen noodles to the pot and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in green onions and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the red pepper flakes. This recipe is quick and perfect for weeknights.
