Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

Description

Crispy oven-fried rolls filled with creamy feta cheese, wrapped in thin wrappers, and drizzled with a spicy-sweet chili honey sauce for a delightful appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 spring roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the crumbled feta, cream cheese, fresh dill, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Lay out a spring roll wrapper and place about 2 tablespoons of the feta mixture in the center.
  4. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a roll.
  5. Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden and crispy.
  7. While the rolls are baking, prepare the chili honey by combining honey, red chili flakes, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle with the chili honey before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the amount of red chili flakes. These rolls are best served warm.
