A decadent dessert featuring gooey peanut butter bars with chocolate peanut butter cups.

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 oz peanut butter cups, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined; press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth; add the remaining egg, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar, mixing until creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the pan.
- Sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is gooey.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
These bars are best served chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
