- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Layer the remaining potatoes on top, then pour the cream of mushroom soup and milk mixture over everything.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
