Description

A quick and flavorful Creole classic made with ground beef, rice, and a blend of spices for an easy weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in rice, paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute to toast the rice.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  5. Fluff with a fork and stir in green onions if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust spice level to taste; serve with hot sauce for extra kick.
