- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix sugar and melted butter until combined. Add eggs, one at a time, then stir in red food coloring and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the cheesecake mixture on top and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before cutting.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
