Description

A delightful tower of crispy meringue topped with roasted pears, maple syrup, and cranberries for a perfect holiday dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced and roasted
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in vanilla extract and vinegar, then spread the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet to form a circle.
  4. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
  5. While the meringue cools, roast the pear slices with cinnamon at 400°F for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Assemble the tower by layering the meringue with roasted pears, cranberries, and drizzling with maple syrup.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature eggs and ensure the meringue is completely cooled before assembling.
