Description

A savory appetizer made with sausage, cream cheese, Rotel, and crescent rolls, perfect for parties or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Optional: shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add the drained Rotel and cream cheese to the sausage; stir until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well combined.
  4. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles.
  5. Spoon a tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  6. Roll up the crescents starting from the wide end and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, use hot Rotel; store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
