- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- Optional: shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F and grease a baking sheet.
- In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add the drained Rotel and cream cheese to the sausage; stir until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well combined.
- Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
- Roll up the crescents starting from the wide end and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, use hot Rotel; store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
