- Pour the melted dark chocolate into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Place in the refrigerator to set for 10-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth (about 1-2 minutes total).
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate layer and spread evenly.
- Immediately sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies evenly over the white chocolate, followed by a generous sprinkling of coarse sea salt.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until fully set.
- Remove from the baking dish using the parchment overhang, then break into pieces.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality chocolate. If the chocolate separates while melting, add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to help it recombine. Crush the peppermint candies in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin for easy cleanup.
