Shrimp Patties with Chili-Lime Mayo

Crispy, golden-brown shrimp patties served with a zesty and creamy homemade chili-lime mayonnaise.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, panko, egg, green onions, garlic, cilantro, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the patties cook, make the chili-lime mayo by whisking together the mayonnaise, sriracha, lime zest, and lime juice in a small bowl.
  5. Serve the hot shrimp patties immediately with a dollop of the chili-lime mayo.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
